Youtube Video and Flash Movie Integration

Youtube clips and your own movie clip will be using the default product template tmp_product.htm

VPCART has two key configurations: [ADD_YOUTUBE] and [ADD_MOVIE] in the tmp_product.htm to display the movie.
However, since VPCART 9, we have merged Youtube into [ADD_MOVIE].

By filling in the value in "Youtube Movie link" and upload your own movie (.swf or .flv), you can display both movie files into a product detail page.

If there is a value in "Youtube Movie link", VPCART will display the Youtube movie.

The same thing will happen when there is a value in "Movie", VPCART will display your own uploaded movie (supported flash movie type: .flv and .swf).

Note :

.SWF is a native file; that means, it's a Flash object (video/game/application) written natively in Flash and meant to be viewed/interacted with a Flash player.

While .FLV is a flash video player. The buttons, progress bar, volume control, etc., are all natively built in flash, but the video itself may have originated from any number of formats.

So this mean if using a .SWF file, your customers would not able to use the progress bar, volume control, etc. If you want your customers to use the progress bar, volume control, etc., it is best that your video file is in the .FLV format.

If you do not want to use both youtube or movie features, simply leave the "Youtube Movie link" and "Movie" fields empty in the edit product page.

In the edit product page, after your have uploaded a movie file, you can view the movie by clicking "View" in the right side of the "Upload File".

A popup will display to run the movie.
