If you want to have a welcome email sent to your customers when they register on your site, you can do so by setting the following Software Configuration options:

Setting this to Yes will send the customer an email when they register on your site. |

This the name of the template to be used to format the customer email. Default is templates\Tmp_welcomeemail.txt. |
To set this up, please follow these steps below :
1. In the top menu select Advanced Settings, then Software Configurations from the dropdown.
2. Enter
the config in the search box and press the “Search” button.
3. Change
the value and click Continue.
You can modify how the welcome email looks and what is
included in it by editing the file tmp_welcomeemail.txt located in the
“templates/default” folder. This template can reference any fields in the
customer record.
