Tracking Messages

Tracking allows you to communicate with your customer about the status of an order. To enable tracking, you need to set the following options in your shop configuration:

 

Xtracking

Setting this to Yes turns on order tracking.

xtrackingcustomerread

Setting this to Yesallows customers to read tracking messages from the merchant that aren’t marked as private.

xtrackingcustomerwrite

Setting this to Yesallows customers to write tracking messages to the merchant.

 

To set this up, please follow these steps below:

1.  In the top menu select Advanced Settings , then Software Configurations from the dropdown.

 

2.  Enter the config in the search box and press the “Search” button.

 

 

3.  Change the value and click Continue.


The tracking messages are displayed with the latest messages at the top.

 

If xtrackingcustomerwrite is set to Yes, the top form is displayed so the customer can submit new messages.

 

If xtrackingcustomerwritethe bottom form is displayed so that the customer can read previous messages.

 

To access the tracking menu, please follow these steps below :

1.  In the top menu, go to Store and then Ordersfrom the dropdown.

2.  Click the ScreenShot095icon in the Track column of an order record.

 

3.  To enter tracking, use the form :

 

4.  Click Continue to submit the form.
