If you want to limit the number of products that can be ordered so that a customer will not be able to order more than what is available in stock, you need to set the following in shop configuration.

Setting this to Yes limits the amount ordered to the current stock level. |
VPCART will display a warning message and/or reset the quantity to the stock level when the customer tries to add more than the number of products in stock to their cart.
