If you are using inventory products, VPCART will set the handling cost as the value from the field defined in xhandlingbyproduct in the child record.
If there is no value in the xhandlingbyproduct of the child record, VPCART will use the xhandlingbyproduct price from the parent record.
If you want the handling cost to be a combination of the value from the parent and child product records, you can do so by setting the following Software Configuration option:
