Google Customer Reviews

 

In VPCart 9.0, we have added new module “Google Customer Reviews”. This feature is available in Modules Manager administration.

What are Google Customer Reviews?

Google Customer Reviews feature will help merchants show survey opt-in to your customers who place an order on your store.

 

The Feedback is collected by presenting your customers with the ability to opt in to receive an email from Google after few days of the purchase made on your VPCart store.

 

Google sends survey requests after few days of expected delivery dates.

Below is the sample of survey email that customers will receive:

 

The Google Customer Reviews service is free with a Merchant Center account. You can display a badge on your VPCart site that displays your star rating, which is calculated from customers feedback.

Using this Google Customer Reviews will help merchants with the following:
-Conversion rate: Provide customers reinsurance.

-Traffic: Help acquire new customers.

NOTE: Google Customers review by default is not used to display the rating on each product under VPCart product pages, however, it is used to show "seller ratings" on Google Search ads and Google Shopping ads.

How To Use This Module

The Google Customer Reviews settings can be located by going to your administration menu on top: Modules > Modules Manager > locate the module name “googlereview” > click Edit button as shown in the screenshot below:




Below is the explanation of the configurations:

 

A. Do you want to enable google customer reviews module?

Set this to Yes to enable Google Customer Reviews.

Please follow below guide to activate Google Customer Reviews from Google Merchant Center.

1. Go to URL: https://www.google.com/retail/solutions/merchant-center/#?modal_active=none

 

1a. If you never sign up for Google merchant service (eg: Google product feed), please click SIGN UP button

 

1b. If you ever subscribe for Google merchant service (eg: Google product feed), please click SIGN IN link.

 

2. After Sign up or Sign in, at Google merchant panel page, at top right click the three vertical dots (besides mail icon) as shown on screenshot below:



3. Select Merchant Center programs and you will be redirected to Merchant Center programs page.

 

4. At Merchant Center programs page, under Customer Reviews section, please click ENABLE link to enable Customer Reviews.

 

 

NOTE: You also need to make sure your VPCart site is verified and claimed by your Google account in orders to have Google Customer Reviews working properly.

Please follow below steps on how to verify your VPCart site in Google Merchant account:

1. At Google Merchant Center, in the left bar please click “Business Information”.

 

2. Click to open the Website section.



3. Enter your VPCart site URL



4. Click SAVE.

5. Click Website section again.



6. You will see Unclaimed status for the VPCart site URL you have just entered. Please click the link.



7. You will be presented with a page that contains instructions on how to verify your site. Please follow the instructions there to claim your page.


8. If your VPCart site URL has been verified, you should see the status below eg:




B. What is your Google merchant ID? 


Please follow below guide to locate your Google Merchant ID.

 

1. Go to URL: https://www.google.com/retail/solutions/merchant-center/#?modal_active=none

 

1a. If you never sign up for Google merchant service (eg: Google product feed), please click SIGN UP button

 

1b. If you ever subscribe for Google merchant service (eg: Google product feed), please click SIGN IN link.

 

2. After Sign up or Sign in, at Google merchant panel page, at top right click the three vertical dots (besides mail icon) as shown on screenshot below:



3. Select Merchant Center programs and you will be redirected to Merchant Center programs page.

 

4. After sign in, you are able to locate your Merchant ID at the top left which is under Google Merchant Center caption. The Merchant ID is only contained digits. (eg: 1234567)




C. Where do you want the review widget to be appeared?

You can choose Bottom Left or Bottom Right.

D. Where do you want the review dialog to be appeared after order completed at shopthanks.asp page?

You can choose one of the following:

- Displayed as a dialog box in the center of the view.



- Displayed as a dialog box at the bottom right of the view.



- Displayed as a dialog box at the bottom left of the view.


- Displayed as a dialog box at the top right of the view.


- Displayed as a dialog box at the top left of the view.


- Displayed in the bottom of the view.

 

E. What is your widget default language?

You can select one of the following supported languages:

Estimation in days to deliver items to customer. Rating/Survey email will be sending out after delivery date.

 

 

 

Please enter estimated days to ship, eg. 7 means 7 days to ship items. Then after 7 days Google will send the Survey email to the customers.
