The Featured Products routine allows you to display a
collection of products that you specify in your administration. This is handy if
you want to showcase a selection of products.The Featured Products routine allows you to display a

You can manage this feature using Layout Manageras described in page 120.
The display of the Featured Products is handled by the template tmp_featuredproducts.htm.
To add a product to the Featured Products listing, login to your administration and edit the product you want to display. Set the Include in Featured Products flag to Yes and click the Update button at the bottom of the page.
Merchants can define the maximum featured products allowed to be added to the front page box. This can be set through the config “xmaxfeaturedproductitems”.

If you set the value
ofxmaxfeaturedproductitemsto 5, for example, when you go to Layout
Manager to edit the “Column Featured Products” section, you will not be allowed
to add more than 5 items to the featured products.
