If you have setup two or more sites using the same database
(using product matching), then the Layout Manager will automatically display a
section to manage each store layout.
You can view this section in the
Layout Manager page of your VPCART control panel.
For example, If
you have setup two sites, site A and site B using the same db, you may wish to
manage each site layout separately.
Default Multi-store section will
only have one list in the dropdown menu, which is “SITE 1”. If you want
to manage layout for site B, you need to enter a new name for the first time,
e.g. SITE 2.
Note :layout store name, must be the SAME as
xshopID
After
you have entered SITE 2, you need to add some boxes to the new layout manager
for SITE 2. Click the “Add Box” anywhere in the left column, center or
right column that you want and select which components you want to
add.
Since this is a new layout, you will
also need to turn on some of the containers below :
You can see that the “Header Logo
Container”, “Header Top Right Container” and “Header Sub
Container” are in red. This means that these containers are turned off by
default because they have no data. You will need to edit these containers and
enable them (set to Yes).
Then after you have added some boxes to SITE 2 Layout
manager and modify the containers, SITE 2 will then be displayed in the dropdown
list after you reopen the Layout Manager page.
If you are in Site A, then you need
to select SITE 1 to edit the layout.
If you are in Site B, then you
need to select SITE 2 to edit the layout.
Make sure to select the
correct layout for each store before you edit the layout for a certain site.
With this Multi-store layout manager feature, you can easily manage the
layout for each store by selecting which layout you want to
edit.
Note : Only user with User Type “SUPER” can manage the
Multi-store layout manager.
