This page gives your customer an opportunity to review their order before continuing with the purchase, or even to print it for manual mailing or faxing.
This page is also their final chance to cancel their order before it is written to the database – prior to this, all of the data is stored in temporary session variables.
The Proceed to Payment button takes the customer to the payment page.
This form is the first time the customer can see the full payment that includes: shipping, payment type surcharge, taxes, handling discounts and gift certificates.
If the customer decides not to pay after continuing past this page, the order will remain in the database with no payment details. This is done to allow flexibility in replacing the standard VPCART shopcheckout.asp with numerous electronic gateways. It is also a very useful marketing tool, so that you can followup customers to determine why they left without completing the order.
