In latest VPCart, we have added two new configs for Categories:
Categories are a method for grouping your products so your customers can easily locate them.
In VPCART 8.00, for Drop Down and Fly Out, VPCART will only
show maximum of three sub categories level in the desktop layout left/right side
bar and in mobile top header category section.
For example :
Main cat
Sub Cat 1
Sub Cat 2
Sub Cat 3
NOTE : In VPCART 8.00, we also have changed the way for
categories loading to improve speed.
If you make any changes in your categories administration e.g. you change the categories name or description, you will not see the changes in the front store unless after you re-open your browser so it will load the new changes.
We have made this change to improve categories loading speed especially for site that have huge categories to load in minimal time.
There are three methods of displaying categories style in
VPCART – Normal list (None), Dropdown,Fly Out. You can change this from Layout
Manager administration under Column Categories.
