The Static type customer group allows you to assign
customers into a group by yourself.
Click the icon in the Action
column to start assigning customers into the group.
To add certain
customers, tick the customer records and click Add Selected Records.
To add
all customers into the customer group, just click Add All Records and all of the
customers in the list will be assigned into the customer group.
Dynamic type allows you to group customers automatically
based on the SQL Query you have specified.
For Example, you specify SQL
Query to have all Australian customers to be grouped into Group 1, below is the
screen that shows the SQL Query :
You can load saved query by clicking
the “Load Saved Query” link and choosingone of the SQLs in the dropdown
menu to be used.
If the config “XCustomerGroupDynamicAutoAssign” is
set to No, you will need to click the Refresh icon in the Action column
periodically to assign customers that match
the SQL Query you specified for Group 1 in the example above.If the
config “XCustomerGroupDynamicAutoAssign” is set to Yes, you do not
need to refresh the dynamic customer group.
