Step 1. Firstly, Go to VPCart administration : Modules > Modules Manager from top menu
Step 2. Locate the module name “Upsell” and click Edit button
Step 3. Do you want to enable Upsell modules?(xupsell) : yes
Step 4. Only load upsell items from Upsell CatalogIDs(xupsell_globalonly): Set to Yes to load upsell items from config xupsell_catalogids only
Step 5. This is the global products to be added to the Upsell. Simply type / search for the product name you want to add to Upsell and click the plus sign (+) to add the item to the list.
Step 6. For example, add catalogid: 53
Step 7. Click, 'Update Record' button
Step 8. Order any product under your cart and catalogid: 53 will be shown inside the shopping cart popup as upsell product
Step 9. Now configure 'Only load upsell items from Upsell CatalogIDs(xupsell_globalonly)': No, from modules manager
Step 10. Click 'Update Record'
Step 11. This will load upsell products from each individual product field “upsell”. This also means you want certain products to show different upsell items.
Step 12. For testing, we can add catalog id 52 as upsell product for catalogid 51
Step 13. Order product with catalogid : 51 and catalogid : 52 will be shown as upsell product
Step 14. Please confirm the config xproductstayonpage is set to yes, which is required for the working of upsell.
