Video Tutorial - Password Reset Tool Installation in VPCart 8
You might sometimes forget your admin credentials, this tutorial will show you on how to install "Password Recovery Tool" module for resetting your admin user and password.
Please follow these steps:
1. Download from your site the file shop$config.asp located in the admin\config folder.
2. Open in
text editor and locate the SecondPassword.
3. Upload file passwordresettool800.asp to your admin folder.
4. Browse the Password Recovery Tool page, eg. http://www.yourdomain.com/yourshoppingfolder/admin/passwordresettool800.asp
5. Type in
your Second Password that you can look from the shop$config.asp file for verification.
6. Type in New User Name, New Password, Confirm Password to create a new user.
7. Log into to VPCart control panel with this newly created admin user.
8. To update other users, please log into the Control Panel and edit the relevant admin users.
