How To Import and Export MYSQL db from Plesk Panel

Did you know that you can import and export MYSQL database into a .sqp file from your Plesk Panel ? Please find the steps below to do this.

 

How To Export MYSQL Database Into A .sql File From Plesk Panel ?

Step 1 : Login to plesk and go to the domain you want, click Websites & Domains > Databases >

Step 2 : Click Databases

 

Step 3 : Locate the MYSQL db that you want to export.

 

Step 4 : Click Webadmin link next to the MYSQL db name.

 

Step 5 : You will see a new window for the Webadmin. Click Export.

 

Step 6 :  Select "Custom - display all possible options"

 

Step 7 : Scroll down and in the "Object creation options", there is a checkbox "AUTO_INCREMENT value", make sure it is checked/ticked.

 

Step 8 : Click GO.

 

How To Import A .sql File Into MYSQL Database From Plesk Panel ?

Step 1 : Login to plesk and go to the domain you want, click Websites & Domains > Databases >

Step 2 : Click Databases

Step 3 : Locate the new MYSQL db that you want to restore from .sql file. (If you do not have any new MYSQL db, simply create new MYSQL db and it's user and password).

Step 4 : Click Webadmin link next to the MYSQL db name.

Step 5 : You will see a new window for the Webadmin. Click Import.

Step 6 : Click " Browse your computer" and locate your .sql file in your local PC.

Step 7 : Click GO.
